Former Prime Minister Imran Khan categorically predicted the upcoming general elections across the country in April 2023 and also said that he has no relationship with (the new military leadership) at this time.

 Tehreek-e-Insaf has dissolved the assemblies of Punjab and now Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa for a few days while the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan has indicated to be a part of consultation with the government for the establishment of a caretaker government in the National Assembly.

 In a special interview with Imran Khan by Usman Zahid for BBC Urdu, the same question was put before him that whether he is ready to talk to the government for economic and country improvement.

 On this, the former prime minister said that till date, which political leader has come who overthrows his government, which is 70 percent of Pakistan.   General Bajwa helped him, to put him above us.

 He ended corruption cases worth 1100 billion rupees.  Our economy has sunk.  The economic conditions of Pakistan are not what they are today.

 Imran Khan said that there is only one solution: 'Fair and transparent elections'.  As long as there are no elections in Pakistan, no investor, entrepreneur from within has faith in him.  No one from outside trusts them.

 We are drowning in a quagmire.  Free and fair election is the only solution to avoid a situation like Sri Lanka.  For this reason, we have brought down our two governments.The government will be forced to hold elections in April.

 Some political analysts in the country believe that Tehreek-e-Insaf wants general elections in August, but government ministers have repeatedly announced that the National Assembly will complete its term and new general elections will be held in October.

 So what is the reason for bringing the government under pressure?  On this, Imran Khan said that the difference is that they (the present government) have flouted the supremacy of the law, that is, they have placed themselves above the law.  All theft is forgiven.  These were the cases that were made in their own periods.

 Shahbaz, Nawaz, Zardari, Maryam have all survived.  All the cases against them have ended.  As long as they want, they aim to finish their cases.

 Imran Khan said that two months seem too far at this time.  You said August (but) I am talking about now.  We are at risk that as our economy collapses, we are left with four billion dollars in reserves.  Things are getting expensive, unemployment, factories are closing down.

 He says that we are finding it difficult to spend his two months (more).  My own prediction is that whatever happens, this government will be forced to hold elections in April.

 The holding of general elections in April 2023 will also be noteworthy because exactly one year ago, in the same month, a motion of no confidence was passed against Imran Khan in the National Assembly and his government was gone, which means that he was ahead of the entire country for the past one year.  They are demanding early elections.

 The former prime minister claimed that the establishment put full pressure on Parvez Elahi to become PML-N or not to leave the chief ministership (despite what Imran Khan said).  We had decided that we will dissolve the assemblies.

 (But) they were loyal to us and we had to return the loyalty.  That is, they will merge (in Tehreek-e-Insaaf) and become part of our party.'No relationship with new military leadership'

 There is a general opinion that due to political instability, the government is not able to take any decision economically and some observers claim that Tehreek-e-Insaaf's campaign is adding to this instability.

 Imran Khan's response to these accusations was that 'someone should ask him the question why did he overthrow our government by plotting?'  While we had the best economic performance in 17 years.

 "What mistake were we making that they brought down (our) government together with an army chief?"  After that it was not handled by them.

 He adds that 'I and Shaukat Tareen (the then finance minister) together told General Bajwa that if you created political instability, to succeed in this conspiracy, then (to the economy) any  Can't handle it.  And that's what happened.

 It was not handled by them.  The market quickly lost faith in him.  They were taking their thefts and NRO tow.  Chaos began to arise in the country.  So just ask (any) business personality today.  Is it because of us?  As soon as they arrived, they realized that they did not have a road map.  What General Bajwa has done together with them, even the enemy would not have done with Pakistan.

 The former prime minister said that 'take it today and see where Pakistan stood in April and where it stands today.'

 He did three long marches during my time.  All the time he criticized my government, yet we were making progress.

 When asked how Imran Khan and his party are related to the new army chief General Asim Munir and whether they have established contacts with the new Qoji leadership with the help of President Arif Alvi, Imran Khan said 'Look, our  There is no relationship with (the new military leadership) at this time.'
